WELCOME TO
Chateau Elegance
The stately Chateau Elegance holiday villa is ideally situated in the Saint-Émilion, Duras and Bergerac triangle, in a protected nature reserve and with vast vineyards as far as the eye can see. Immerse yourself in the historical atmosphere of this French chateau.
The former mayor's mansion dates back to 1811 and still exudes the luxury and opulence of days gone by. Surrounded by vineyards, lavender and olive trees, it is the ideal holiday destination in the high season for a relaxing break with family or friends. Or come in spring or autumn to relax as a couple and enjoy the romantic setting that this castle offers. All rooms have been completely renovated while retaining the authentic wooden floors and fireplaces. The bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable, with modern en-suite bathrooms. Depending on the season, the chateau has various accommodation options for groups of 2 to 6 people. For more information, see Chateau Elegance Orangerie or the price information tab.
The hospitable Belgian owners will do anything to make you feel at home and guarantee 100% privacy, even when they are present. So, you can enjoy the stylishly landscaped garden and a beautiful view over the vineyards. Feel like having breakfast outside in the soft morning sun? Or how about an elaborate lunch or BBQ with regional ingredients bought at the local market? Or just a glass of wine to end the day? In and around the chateau, the various seating areas and terraces always offer the perfect spot for every moment of the day. The modern natural swimming pool (with biological filter system) is chlorine-free and therefore a blessing for skin, hair and eyes.
In close proximity to the holiday villa is the picturesque village of Sainte-Foy La Grande, with the ‘favourite market of the French’ offering many local specialities. The world's most prestigious vineyards, such as Saint-Émilion and Pomerol, are also within easy reach, as are the many tourist and historical attractions of the Dordogne. Also worth visiting is Bordeaux, the famous wine, shopping and cultural city. It is located about 70 km away.

This property lies in the Périgord Pourpre (purple); named after the vineyards around Bergerac. It has some exceptional attractions such as the old bastide towns. We have visited most of the Dordogne tips together with our children.
