Haute Fage is an oasis of tranquillity in the beautiful surroundings of the Lot region. Perfect for those who are looking for total privacy and relaxation. A luxury holiday home in the middle of hilly countryside, close to charming towns and medieval castles, with farmland as far as the eye can see. Come and enjoy!
This holiday home has won us over with its idyllic location, in a place that leaves nothing to be desired. And there's more. The house is set in the rolling countryside, surrounded by forests and meadows. Far-stretching views, total silence and the warmth of the sun create a laid-back summer feeling. Owners Hans and Debbie have done everything to transform this former farmhouse with a separate guesthouse into a relaxed and cosy "home away from home".
This holiday home is bright and airy, with high wooden-beamed ceilings, a fireplace and brushed concrete and wooden floors. The warm, comfortable interior enhances the atmosphere of this soothing environment. It’s a pleasure to cook together and prepare the most delicious breakfasts, lunches and evening meals in the modern, fully equipped kitchen. From the open-plan kitchen, you can walk through the dining and living room to the terrace, which is partially covered by the shade of the trees. A perfect place to enjoy each other's company with a good glass of wine and the romance of the setting sun with your family or friends.
The huge garden with a large lawn, sun terrace and private swimming pool invite you to relax. It’s the perfect opportunity to finally start that good book that you’ve been longing to read or to close your eyes and dream away whilst listening to your favourite music. In the background, you’ll hear your children laughing and playing in the bushes, the swimming pool or at the table tennis table.
With such deep relaxation, you could almost forget how much there is to see and do in the surroundings of your wonderful holiday home. In less than fifteen minutes, you can reach the 13th-century town of Montcuq with all its amenities, including shops, a supermarket, galleries, restaurants and a lively Sunday market. Another glorious hilltop town is Lauzerte, a 20-minute drive away. Both places are along the historic path towards Santiago de Compostela, great for long walks! The Lot and Celé rivers and a small lake are also nearby. Here, you can swim, canoe and go fishing. The regional capital of Cahors, where you can enjoy historic half-timbered houses, narrow alleys and impressive sights, is a half-hour drive away. Here, you can taste, smell and buy fresh regional products twice a week at the market or visit one of the numerous vineyards with free tastings of Malbec and other excellent wines. The many old castles and the spectacular cave of Pêch Merle, where you can admire one of the few prehistoric cave paintings in France, are recommended for a day out with children.
