A quiet place with a fantastic panoramic view. This beautiful, newly built holiday villa is located on a hilltop on the border of the Dordogne and the Lot. You are in the purple Périgord, between a number of beautiful bastide towns including Monpazier that you reach after a fifteen minute drive. Bergerac airport is within 30 minutes of the villa. Your holiday home owes its name to the wooden beams in the walls, the so-called 'Colombages'. This lovely craftsmanship is centuries old and gives the house a cosy, authentic look. The truly magnificent villa is finished with great attention to detail and shows a perfect combination of beautiful old materials and modern accents. The garden, the swimming pool and of course the house itself are in an excellent condition and equipped with all modern comforts. The solid oak floors, the beautiful elm wood staircase with steel bars and the marble terrace floors give the villa a tranquil and luxury look throughout.
The villa has 3 beautiful bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom. One bedroom is on the ground floor so the holiday home is also very suitable for elderly people. The large open kitchen diner and the adjacent living room offer plenty of space to cook together with your family, relatives or friends and to enjoy delicious meals. The Jøtul wood burner creates a warm and pleasant atmosphere in the early and late weeks of the season.
The large outdoor area also contains all the ingredients for a lovely luxury holiday in the Dordogne. Here you find two shady terraces, of which the small one is at the front of the house and this is an ideal spot for your first cup of Nespresso. The other very spacious veranda-like terrace is elevated and equipped with a dining area where you can enjoy a beautiful sweeping view of the vast valley, with the pool in the foreground. Your newly constructed private pool has a modern look thanks to its long, narrow design. It is surrounded by a lovely sun terrace with sunbeds, a lounge set and two large parasols. In other words, this villa offers all the comforts needed for a relaxing holiday.
The luxury, the comfort and the appearance together with the fantastic location and beautiful view have us convinced. This is a wonderful holiday destination.

This luxury holiday home offers all the ingredients needed for a great holiday in the Dordogne: a quiet location, surrounded by a woody, green hilly landscape, total privacy and plenty of entertainment in the area. This region also offers numerous opportunities for golfing, canoeing, climbing, cycling, hiking, fishing and swimming. And all this is half an hour drive from the airport.

Open kitchen/living room with 2 doors leading to the front terrace; one from the hall and one from the kitchen.
The terrace has a table and four chairs to enjoy a coffee or tea.
The large living room has a comfortable seating around a flat screen TV and a separate seating. The Jøtul wood burning stove is providing a comfortable temperature in spring and autumn. A door leads to the covered terrace where you can enjoy lunch, overlooking the pool.

We have enjoyed a wonderful week staying at Les Colombages. Your house is beautifully furnished and has been the perfect house for our stay. Lots of time has been spent in the pool. During the last week we have visited many different places both in the Lot and the Dordogne. We would suggest if you have young children that the Dino Parc is well worth the tour, particularly for the magical caves. Likewise, the view from Castelnaud-La-Chapelle is great and an entertaining castle for young ones. We would also recommend a Saturday trip to Sarlat.

Our stay in Les Colombages was perfect! What a beautiful and luxurious house with lots of space. The pool is lovely and has a fantastic view and good sunbeds, a sofa with table and a parasol. Really all the details have been thought of such as plenty of storage space, good washer and dryer, more than enough crockery and towels. You would hardly want to leave the house, but if you do there are plenty of nice places in the area to visit. We already enjoyed the nearest village Villeréal to drink and eat and do groceries at the supermarket, butcher and cheesemaker. We will definitely come back again!

Our boys (11 - 8 - 6 years) have seen many different animals (frogs, lizards, snakes, birds, squirrels etc.) and enjoyed the pool a lot! In the area many beautiful towns, castles and caves.
