Magnificent property in a unique location in Domme, an impressive bastide overlooking the Dordogne valley. This luxurious holiday home, with its large private heated swimming pool and private garage, is located in the heart of the village of Domme, labelled as one of 'The Most Beautiful Villages of France', and close to the most prestigious sites in the Dordogne.
L'Espingole is within walking distance of bars, restaurants, specialty shops and a small supermarket with fresh bread and pastries in the morning. It is set in 1000 m2 of private grounds and is built in the typical Périgord style. It has been tastefully restored and offers peace and privacy with its enclosed garden.
The house is beautifully decorated and has the charm and character of an old stone house, with all the modern conveniences and luxury amenities while preserving its distinctive architectural features.
The first stone of this house was laid in 1282 when Domme was built under the reign of Philippe III the Bold as a fortress town and strategic defense during the Hundred Years War. L’Espingole reflects this same history. In recent years a thorough architectural restoration was completed and the result is luxury living in an authentic heritage setting.
The large common living areas on the ground floor include the dining room, which opens to the outdoor dining terrace, the living room and its ancient stone fireplace, and the well equipped kitchen and wine cellar. The solid natural stone walls provide thermal insulation and soundproofing. On the first floor, you will find 3 spacious bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and separate toilets. On the second floor, there is a second living room with sofa, TV and DVD player, as well as a small bedroom with en suite shower room and separate toilet.
The outdoor area is also tastefully decorated with great attention to detail. The many trees and shrubs and the herb garden create a Mediterranean atmosphere. Under the shady pergola you can relax with a good glass of local wine accompanied by regional cheeses and a delicious salad fresh from the market. After a relaxing siesta, it is time for a dip in the large heated private pool.

- Bookings exclude tourist tax (max € 3,30 per adult per night)
In the event of cancellation by the tenant, the following charges shall apply:
Cancellation done: over 42 days prior: 30% of the total rental fee (security deposit to be returned)
Cancellation done: 29-42 days inclusive prior: 50% of the total rental fee (security deposit to be returned)
Cancellation done: 0-28 days inclusive prior: 100% of the total rental fee (security deposit to be returned)
