La Grande Peymalie

This beautiful, historic building with an outbuilding and large covered swimming pool is located in St. Marcel du Périgord, near the airport of Bergerac. The large private grounds, which include a forest, a bamboo grove (great for the kids) and playground equipment, are surrounded by a sweeping nature reserve where red deer, roe deer and wild boar freely roam around. In September during the rutting season you can hear the red deer “roar and bark” nearby, one of nature’s beautiful wonders!

Via the impressive driveway, you will reach your stately holiday villa which has recently been lovingly renovated and is therefore in perfect condition. The interior has a classic style without being outdated. Thanks to the historic details such as the shutters, French windows, parquet floors and wooden beamed ceilings you can sense the historic atmosphere. The bedrooms and bathrooms that are equipped with contemporary comforts and the modern, luxurious kitchen ensure that you have everything you need in this holiday home.

The sitting room has large French windows that provide access to the terrace at the back; a perfect spot to enjoy a nice meal or play a game with your family and/or friends. Take the delicious snacks you have bought at the market and put them on the table together with a lovely local wine and enjoy the peace, space and free time… in other words, the French laissez-faire!

The holiday villa offers room for 10-12 people, depending on the composition of your travel group. It is perfect for two families with or without grandparents, but a group of friends will also have a great time here. The tennis court and the swimming pool provide sporting entertainment at home, and the surrounding forests with the many hiking, cycling and horse riding paths also offer plenty of opportunities to relax and be active. Especially enjoy the lovely trips to the many attractions and sights that this region has to offer, including beautiful bastide villages, old castles, caves, lakes and rivers. The couple in love, the Frenchman and his tennis player, had a great time here. They gave their love to each other, and to the villa that they both adored. And you can still feel this warmth now.
