Château de Bonaguil is an impressive castle built in the 13th century and further fortified in the 15th and 16th centuries. One of the last great fortified castles in the country, it is known for its imposing towers, moats and secret passages. Never used in a battle, it is now a popular tourist destination with events such as medieval markets.
