This romantic holiday home is in a beautiful area where the Vézère river meets the Dordogne. You'll be close to the many tourist attractions and sights of the Dordogne, and yet have lots of peace and quiet. Time seems to have stood still at this property at the end of a winding road.
This authentic country house is beautifully renovated, while preserving the 'pierre apparente' (exposed stone) walls that are characteristic of the region. The romantic courtyard is a wonderful place where you can lunch in the shade and enjoy the French 'laissez-faire'.
The comfortable interior of the holiday home combines traditional and modern elements. You have two large living rooms at your disposal, each with an open fire where you can quietly read a good book, drink a glass of wine and spend time together. The modest, but cosy kitchen is also a place that invites you to spend time together.
The 1.5 hectare sized garden benefits from plenty of privacy. You can use the beautiful swimming pool (7x14m) with a sun terrace and a covered seating area. The children will especially enjoy themselves on the football/badminton games area, table tennis and jeux de boules area. This means that the holiday home is ideal for families with children, nature and sport lovers, and foodies who are looking for a luxury holiday home in a quiet location close to rivers, caves, and the other attractions of the Dordogne.
Two romantic bedrooms with private entrance to rent separately
In 2020, two romantic sleeping places have been created in the old bread oven opposite the house. They each have their own bathroom. These 'guestrooms' are ideal if, for example, your friends want to visit and like to have their own privacy. A modest fee will be charged for this upgrade. The total capacity for Le Soulelial remains maximum 8 persons, but you can be more flexible with these two guestrooms.
