Villa Léognan
As the name suggests, this holiday villa is located in Martillac in the middle of one of the most beautiful wine regions Bordeaux has to offer; Pessac-Léognan. You will be staying in a wooded area surrounded by vineyards as far as the eye can see!
The former farm Villa Léognan dates back to 1930 and has been tastefully converted into a modern holiday villa with respect for man and nature. High quality materials, such as Farrow & Ball paints, have been used to give the house a natural feel. There are 3 beautiful bedrooms, 2 of which are on the ground floor. This provides space for a family with children or a couple of friends to enjoy a relaxing (wine) holiday together close to Bordeaux. Each bedroom has a luxurious en-suite bathroom and air conditioning. The chic and contemporary open plan living area is very light and has access to the terrace: the perfect place for al fresco dining and enjoying the culinary delights of the region.
The highlight of the villa is the beautiful garden that seems to embrace the house. Immerse yourself in the peace and quiet and smell the scents of the French countryside!
Fancy going out? There is plenty to do! Explore the region by bike or on foot, or take the car and head to one of the extensive beaches, the nearby water park or the zoo. A day trip to the nearby UNESCO World Heritage city of Bordeaux, with its many monumental buildings, charming streets, quaint shops, outdoor cafes, restaurants and wine bars, is popular with everyone.
The cultural and culinary delights of Bordeaux can also be enjoyed in the nearby surroundings of the villa: a short walk of less than 20 minutes takes you to the castle and vineyards of Smith Haut Lafitte. This famous winery produces some of the world's finest wines and offers workshops and guided tours. Visit the spa (Caudalie) or the Michelin starred restaurant La Grand'Vigne... an unforgettable experience!

- The pool is open from april 20th - october 12th 2024 (april 19th - october 11th 2025). Pool heating is included from may 18th - september 20th 2024 (may 17th - september 19th 2024). Beyond that, the costs are € 250/week.

In the event of cancellation by the tenant, the following charges shall apply:
Cancellation done: over 42 days prior: 30% of the total rental fee (security deposit to be returned)

Comfortable and nicely furnished house. Fully equipped. Beautiful garden! Very quiet location, lots of privacy. Very friendly hostess. Welcome with cake, cheeses, eggs, bread and wine. In short, it was great.

We had a great time in this beautiful house. Gladys was very welcoming and responsive. Lots of small details helping young parents with young children arriving after a long trip… The house is immaculate and very well equiped, the garden is wonderful and beds are from very high quality. The pool was great but we could not use it the weather was not good enough. Pool is secured and well maintained. The area is very very calm and next to a tram station which was able to reach the wonderful city of Bordeaux in a few minutes. The communication with Frédéric and Gladys was very friendly, easy and responsive.

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. The Villa is just wonderful we love the open plan space and of course the pool and the garden. It has been a great place to be sociable , have fun but also relax ! The location is perfect. We watched the Wales vs Fidji Rugby World Cup game in Bordeaux , had a great day out to St Emilion as well as a day trip to Arcachon, managed 3 Châteaux wine tasting over 3 days. The train into Bordeaux was easy to do for a day out in the city. don’t forget to pay a visit to Château Smith Haut Lafitte just around the corner. This is just magical.

Loved this place. The house was amazing and had so many useful things inside to make our stay better. The pool was great to relax by and the area and the area is so peaceful as well. Great host too and super responsive and provided a number of recommendations in the area . Would recommend to anyone to stay. While having a car would be useful, we only used Uber the whole time we were there and never had an issue as an FYI for potential guests.

Bordeaux
This property is located outside the Dordogne near Bordeaux. Bordeaux is the capital of the Gironde department and of the new Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, which also includes the Dordogne. It is a beautiful city with a lot of culture, but the area around it also offers a lot; wineries, beaches, chateaux and much more. We come there regularly because it is a 'small' big city where you can stroll, shop and, of course, eat blissfully.
