Upon arrival, our enthusiasm increases at the beautiful atmosphere that this place radiates, partly because of the large magnolia tree in front of the house. It offers shade and beautifully filtered sunlight and is the perfect place to enjoy a cold glass of wine or a good book.

The Dutch owners have recently restored the mill lovingly and with great attention to detail. This is clearly evident from the high quality of the finishings. The character of the ancient mill has been preserved, while all the ingredients for a luxury holiday home have been added, such as Wi-Fi, underfloor heating, TV connection, and modern kitchen appliances. The renovated interior exudes a style of elegant simplicity.

The ground floor of the miller’s house consists of a well-equipped kitchen, a large and sun-filled living room, and a dining room. All of these rooms are equipped with a fireplace or a wood-burning stove to keep you comfortably warm on cold days. On the ground floor you will also find the former bakery which has been converted into a second kitchen, and which may also be available as a banquet hall, meeting room or even as a small restaurant. The kitchens are equipped with every conceivable convenience, thanks to the influence of the owner who used to run a cooking studio. When in France, she will provide catering on request and will gladly prepare delicious meals for you.

There are five bedrooms on the first floor together with three bathrooms. On the second floor you will find another three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. As such, there is plenty of space and privacy for you and your family or group of friends.

The terraces above the water and the covered terrace at the back of the mill are wonderful places to enjoy drinks and meals, or just to relax. You can swim in the beautiful large swimming pool (6×18 meters) with pool house, outdoor shower, and sun terrace with loungers. You can also swim in natural surroundings in the flowing water of the Petite Seoune.

The landscape in this region is still pure and unspoilt. With its green hills, cypresses, fruit trees, endless sunflower fields and “bastide” villages, the area is also known as the “Tuscany of France”. The region is ideal for hiking, cycling, golf, horse riding or sightseeing. During the summer, each village organises its own “brocante”, “vide grenier” (jumble sales) or “marché nocturne”, (night market) where you can dine at long tables and listen to live music. The village of Beauville is about 3 kilometres from your holiday home. In the early morning you can buy fresh croissants and baguettes at the local bakery. A well-equipped supermarket is a 10-minute drive away and the nearest larger town is Agen, which is 20 minutes away.

Important for families with young children
For the safety of young children, the wooden terrace above the bièf (the stream flowing underneath the mill) can be closed using gates. This is the terrace which both kitchens lead out to. The chance of there being water in the bièf in July / August is very small. In an extremely wet summer, however, there is a small chance that some water might flow through it.
