This gite is a quaint and charming holiday home for 4 people with a private heated swimming pool in a wooded area of the South Dordogne. This tranquil oasis is a stone’s throw from the Château de Biron and close to the medieval bastide towns of Monpazier and Villeréal. These are officially “the most beautiful villages in France!”
Situated on the edge of the forest alongside a footpath, the Gite de Biron is perfect for nature and culture lovers. Only the sound of birds breaks the silence of this beautiful place. The rustic, country-style décor, with beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls, reflects the natural atmosphere that surrounds the house. The fireplace, comfortable sofa and cosy dining room are perfect for relaxing family get-togethers. The outdoor area has plenty to offer, not only for the children, with a swing, table tennis, grass play area and, of course, the large private heated swimming pool. So while the kids are having a great time, you can enjoy a refreshing drink and a good book on the covered terrace while your travel companions prepare a delicious barbecue.
The area is ideal for a variety of excursions and activities such as canoeing, climbing, swimming, hiking, visiting castles or browsing and shopping in the many charming towns that the region has to offer. Biron and the surrounding area organise a range of summer activities for young and old, including night markets, treasure hunts and theatrical visits to the castle. Also explore the many excellent restaurants and vineyards that the Périgord has to offer!
