Marqueyssac’s Via Ferrata is laid out along the cliff, some 100 metres above the river. It is an acrobatic route of 200 m that is completed autonomously. Discover the Dordogne valley in a different way!
An uninterrupted lifeline guarantees optimum safety and prevents risks of improper use. Guides specially trained on this activity handle the placement and control of the equipment, present the basics for using the system and, of course, the safety rules. The route is completed autonomously, without specific guidance during the activity.
The facilities built in Marqueyssac make this Via Ferrata the first with an uninterrupted lifeline in the world.
Each user is connected to the lifeline throughout the route by means of a conductor on the cable. The user does not have to manipulate this safety system. He cannot disconnect himself from the lifeline before the end of the route.
