The name says it all: Ferme des Rivailles is a former farmhouse, renovated with great care, precision and attention to detail and adapted to modern comfort. Traditional elements such as the mezzanine, the wooden beams of the roof and the stone walls have been beautifully preserved. The integration of steel elements is particularly beautiful. Contemporary design and comfort complete the picture: from the rain shower to the designer radiators, from the induction hob to the built-in fittings and from Netflix to Nespresso.
The villa sleeps 6. At 250m2, the spacious living area is spread over two floors, stylishly connected by an open staircase with loft. The living space on the ground floor is divided into several areas. These areas are open and separated by short walls and a few steps, giving them a playful character. It makes you feel as if you are with your family or friends, even if you are in another room. The large windows and French doors allow plenty of light into the rooms and connect the inside with the outside.
Once outside, the main attraction is the large private pool (16 x 4m!) and the magnificent views of the rolling countryside. The beautifully designed pool is a real eye-catcher: the bottom gradually slopes down, reminiscent of a beautiful day at the beach... Watch the little ones splashing around in the shallow end while the big ones race into the deep end! On the sundeck there are comfortable sun loungers and parasols for relaxing, and under the canopy the large dining table is perfect for a cosy lunch or BBQ. The children can play in the large garden or spend time in the tree house or on the jungle gym.
The area around this luxury holiday villa is also very rewarding. The Lot and Garonne rivers are ideal for canoeing and swimming. Or go fishing and/or have a picnic on one of the small beaches along the river!

- The pool is open from april 22nd - october 14th 2023 (2024: april 20th - october 12th). Pool heating is included from may 20th - september 22nd 2023 (2024: may 18th - september 20th). Beyond that, costs are € 250/week.

In the event of cancellation by the tenant, the following charges shall apply:
Cancellation done: over 42 days prior: 30% of the total rental fee (security deposit to be returned)

We as a family enjoyed our stay in Ferme des Rivailles. The house is great, lots of space in the house and even more in the great pool area with different places so sit, either in the sun or in the shade. The house was very clean, and after a long drive, we were welcomed with some food and drinks for the the first night.

Thank you for a lovely stay at Ferme de Rivailles. Our family of five stayed there for two weeks in August 2023 and we had a great time. It is very spacious and modern, with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The pool temperature was perfect and we found the salt-water quite pleasant. The sun loungers and pool set up allowed for relaxing moments poolside and we especially appreciate the very large games room with table tennis, billiards and football table as well as numerous toys for our three children. The bedrooms were clean and fitted with quality sheets and soft towels as well as sufficient storage space for our belongings. The laundry room/pantry was also very helpful for storing food and washing our clothes with ease. Frederic was helpful and attentive as always and made our stay very comfortable, bringing over extra fans when we requested as our stay coincided with a heatwave...The location of the house is also convenient for exploring the region with many interesting towns and activities a short drive away. We would definitely recommend! Thanks again !

The house was very large for our couple but we’ve enjoyed the space in the house and around the house. The pool is just perfect with its 16m you can really do a bit of exercise after having had too much food and wines. It was a very relaxing holiday and a nice region to discover.

The property Mas des Rivailles is a super place in a great part of France. One of the best swimming pools we have experienced and the family used it all day every day during our stay. The house is really comfortable with lots of areas where the family could spread out to do some work or just have time on their own. Having three formal eating areas meant we could mix it up where we had lunch and dinner. There are great countryside views from all of the windows and the house is in a very peaceful and serene setting. I must commend Frederic, the local property manager. He was there to greet us when we arrived and lead us through the property and all of the bits and pieces and local knowledge which made the experience so great. He is very solution focussed and solved minor issues in a no nonsense, relaxed and timely fashion. Many thanks for all.
OUR TIPS FOR THE AREA
Lot-et-Garonne
This property is located in the Lot-et-Garonne; just south of the Dordogne. The landscape is beautiful with gently rolling hills, cypresses, vineyards, fruit trees and sunflower fields. The name of the department says it all: not only the Garonne flows through the department, but also the beautiful Lot, a lovely river for canoeing, swimming or picnicking on one of the beaches along the bank. There are more than 400 marked cycle and hiking trails and during the summer you can go to the famous "marchés gourmand"; evening markets where the products offered by the local producers in their market stalls are eaten at long tables. This is also the region where the idea of the popular food markets comes from.
