The stately Bellefleur is a fantastic holiday villa in the beautiful Lot-et-Garonne region, a 35-minute drive from Bergerac airport and a mere hour from Bordeaux. The country house is located on a hill overlooking the vineyards of picturesque Duras. The property guarantees a relaxing holiday with family or friends, where you will want for nothing. The owner is always on hand, providing everything from transport to and from the airport to full catering - whilst fulfilling (almost) all wine wishes.
We would call the atmosphere of this luxurious country house elegant while at the same time welcoming and inviting. The owner has transformed Bellefleur into the holiday home you would most want to live in. With this in mind, a place has been created where you immediately feel at home: relaxed, comfortable and carefree. You will enjoy excellent facilities, plenty of space and beautiful decor chosen with a keen eye for detail. All bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom and the kitchen is extremely well equipped, with luxury glassware and crockery and more than enough pots, pans and dishes. All the necessary equipment is available for making and serving a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner both indoors and outdoors and enjoying a beautifully laid table in the spacious open-plan kitchen or in the shade outside on the terrace.
In the cosy living room, you will find a beautiful fireplace with plenty of wood, perfect for those cooler evenings when you want to snuggle up on the comfortable sofa with a tablet or a good book. There are also plenty of games and a PlayStation so that younger guests can have fun too. On the bookshelves, you will find books in English, Dutch and French; pick up a gripping novel or browse information and facts about the area. Beautiful works by local artists, as well as some international pieces hanging on the walls depict beautiful rural scenes and reflect the tranquillity of this stunning wine region.
Finally: The heated saltwater pool is popular with everyone. It measures a whopping 12 x 5m and is fully fenced. Relax on one of the sun loungers on the sun terrace and enjoy watching the children play in the water. Or swim lengths as they have fun playing hide-and-seek in the garden or a game of table tennis, badminton, croquet or frisbee.
With its blend of countryside tranquillity, proximity to Bordeaux and Bergerac, Bordelaise wines, Périgord cuisine, a number of golf courses and numerous medieval towns, Bellefleur offers a fantastic getaway for a wonderful holiday in the Lot-et-Garonne region.

We had a fabulous time at Bellefleur and probably spent lore time in the house because we didn’t want to leave ! Managing to provide luxury yet child friendly. The whole family enjoyed the pool, games on the lawn, movies nights in the lounge and eating and drinking every night on the . All holidays should be like this ! Perfect. We would love to come back.

I can honestly say our group of nine adults were somewhat taken aback by the quality of the premises - we have never stayed anywhere so very well equipped. I cannot believe anyone in our group would rate it less than nine out of ten in any questionnaire. If we were to find any fault at all, it would be for a group of not infirm, but less mobile than we used to be, some form of hand rail by the steps to the pool would be a great benefit.

We really enjoyed our week at Bellefleur. The house is decorated and appointed to a high standard with high quality beds, furniture and equipment so it was very comfortable. Quiet and peaceful but within very easy reach of Duras with everything you need. A great location to explore the region with many popular towns close by. Our host Frederic was very helpful and friendly and gave us ideas and suggestions as well as being easy to contact, that made our stay even better. Highly recommended host and property.

Just back from a wonderful week in Bellefleur. The house was beautiful and so well equipped. Everything was spotlessly clean and so well maintained. The pool area was fabulous and so well appointed. My family and I had a fantastic stay at Bellefleur. The house is perfect for a group our size (7). It is spacious, the en suite bedrooms are really well maintained, as is the open plan kitchen and elegant living room. There is lots of outdoor garden furniture, which we appreciated. The pool is very well looked after and the garden around the house is beautiful. There was nothing we would change. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking stay in the Lot et Garonne area - so much so that we might try and go back next year ourselves.

Many thanks for a such a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in rural south west France! Bellefleur is a spectacular property that catered incredibly well for the needs of our multigenerational party. The grounds of the house are vast. Our family greatly enjoyed the heated pool, table tennis and relaxing in the wonderful garden.
The rental experience was very straight forward from beginning to end. I can’t thank the property manager, Frédéric enough. He has a very agreeable manner, is incredibly responsive and always helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I hope we can return to Bellefleur in the near future. Many thanks once again.

We stayed at Bellefleur in July with our daughter, husband and 3 young children under 3. This is our second stay, the first being pre-Covid and we were delighted to see the standards at this wonderful property are as high as ever. It is a perfect place to relax and completely safe for children including toddlers. Hugely spacious and well equipped inside, the outside is beautiful with everything you need for a holiday. With Duras with it’s shops, restaurants and markets only 5 minutes drive away, it really is a perfect spot!

OUR TIPS FOR THE AREA
Lot-et-Garonne
This property is located in the Lot-et-Garonne; just south of the Dordogne. The landscape is beautiful with gently rolling hills, cypresses, vineyards, fruit trees and sunflower fields. The name of the department says it all: not only the Garonne flows through the department, but also the beautiful Lot, a lovely river for canoeing, swimming or picnicking on one of the beaches along the bank. There are more than 400 marked cycle and hiking trails and during the summer you can go to the famous "marchés gourmand"; evening markets where the products offered by the local producers in their market stalls are eaten at long tables. This is also the region where the idea of the popular food markets comes from.
