The Périgord Vert, the northernmost part of the Dordogne, is named after its lush chestnut and oak forests.
Visit the charming riverside town of Brantôme and the nearby Bourdeilles Castle. Discover the picturesque village of Saint-Jean-de-Côle. Château de Puyguilhem is also close by! Further north is Nontron, famous for its knives. To the west, the Dronne Valley and Ribérac await, while to the east lies the impressive Château de Jumilhac-le-Grand.
