Looking for a luxury holiday villa in the French Dordogne, close to Sarlat and the famous caves of Lascaux? A large holiday home that offers plenty of space yet is ambient and cosy? Where you can relax to the fullest? Villa Beauxreves is the place! On this private 20,000 m2 property, you can enjoy a luxury holiday home, private swimming pool and the stunning nature!

There are two first-class holiday homes situated on this property: Villa Beauxreves and Le Manoir de Sarlat. Each holiday home offers complete privacy, its own swimming pool and a wide range of facilities. Passionate and dedicated owners Kerry and Tomas live next door and will be happy to provide advice and tips for your stay. In addition, they offer a variety of services on request: housekeeping, a private tour guide, wine tastings and in-house massages... there ‘s nothing they wouldn’t help arrange for you. You’re guaranteed the highest standards and the best service for a pleasant, relaxing and unforgettable stay.

Villa Beauxreves is a beautiful contemporary stone country house for up to 7 people with a fenced-off, heated private swimming pool and plenty of privacy. From your private terrace, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the beautiful 11th-century Roman church of Carlucet. Your holiday villa dates back to the 18th century and is a former barn with a Pigeonnier or pigeon house. The house has been completely renovated using only exclusive high-quality materials. Comfort and style are of the highest standard, which means that the villa has been officially classified with five stars.

You and your family can enjoy three tastefully decorated bedrooms, each with extremely comfortable king-size beds, private en-suite bathroom and air conditioning. The 60 m² large, bright living room has a wood-burning stove and leads into the dining room with direct access to the private screened terrace and the pool behind it. The kitchen is also perfectly equipped and is essential for a stay in the Périgord region. After returning from the markets of Sarlat or Salignac-Eyvigues with bags filled with foie gras and other specialities from the Dordogne, you can prepare some delightful Périgordine cuisine in this luxury kitchen and savour it with friends and family. Alternatively, relax on the sun-soaked terrace, open a bottle of wine and arrange a carefree barbecue with the whole family. The children can play outside undisturbed and will have a great time on the large lawn and, of course, in the wonderful swimming pool.

Don’t feel like cooking? Popular restaurant The Black Duck is a 5-minute walk away. Or head out by car or bike, as there are many other facilities close by in the heart of the Perigord Noir region. Moreover, the surroundings of Villa Beauxreves offer the best attractions that this interesting and varied region has to offer, such as historic caves, medieval towns, beautiful castles, world-class gastronomy, canoeing, cycling and hiking.

September - Dream week in the Dordogne

We spent a week in late August as guests at Beauxrèves as a family of four. Any questions we sent prior to our arrival were promptly answered and that level of attention to detail was one of the many things that made this stay such a wonderful one. Kerry and Tomas were amazing hosts; Kerry took time on our first afternoon to run though the various attractions in the area, many of which we took up and all of which were fantastic (we'd particularly recommend Lascaux caves and the BikeBus rides as well as the local night market). Where we needed to book ahead and print the tickets, she helped us with that as well meaning we didn't need to worry at all about the queueing anywhere!

The house itself was immaculate and really well equipped with everything we could need in the kitchen along with a lovely welcome pack on our arrival. We all enjoyed cooling off in the heated pool at the end of the day as well and the air conditioning in the bedrooms were just as welcome at nights. The area itself is beautiful. The small village with local bar/ restaurant served delicious food and was a very short walk from the house. The nearby village of Salignac had everything we needed to keep us going - small supermarket/ butchers/ boulangerie etc. For us, it had every element needed for a wonderful family holiday and I would whole heartedly recommend it.

        August - Perfect

Beauxrèves is a great place to stay. Peaceful and relaxing and a very well equipped house. It is a peaceful and quiet village with everything you need. Kerry and Thomas are so friendly and helpful but unobtrusive at the same time. The pool and grounds are wonderful for relaxing and unwinding after a day sightseeing in the most beautiful area of France. We have been back twice and hope to go for a 3rd time.

July - The perfect getaway, a great location to explore the beautiful Dordogne

This was our second stay at Beauxrèves... sometimes it can be a bad idea going back to the same place that you previously had such a great time as expectations can let you down, not here !! Another very warm welcome from owners Tomas and Kerry on arrival in their stunning characteristic villa. Your holiday can be as busy or relaxed as you want it to be, we planned a schedule relaxing on the patio with a wine after a BBQ on the first evening with the help of the "things to do" leaflets that are in the villa. Every morning we left no later than 9.30 to go exploring which included canoeing down the river Dordogne, spectacular scenery ( a must !! ), visiting Sarlat, Domme, Beynac, steam train rides, caves etc before returning back to a welcoming dip in the well kept pool. Every evening the BBQ was put into action (complementary bag of coals and lighting gel) before relaxing and taking in the surroundings and peacefulness and talking over another great day in the Dordogne. All in all a gem of a place to stay and we will most certainly be returning.
